Pennsylvania

Just getting around to some images I shot last spring when I was visiting family in PA. This is where I grew up, Southern Chester County, West Grove and Oxford to be exact. Going back and then working on these images makes me realize how beautiful it really is there. Sad thing is there are many more houses and less farms these days. Not so when I was growing up. This will most definitely be an ongoing project about going back and visiting the places I remember from my childhood. Well, what's left of them.

A farm...yay!

This is the view from my cousins George and Gails backyard. It's an Amish farm now.

What's left of some old mushroom houses across the field and down the hill from the house I grew up in.

Ah yes, this brings up the subject of mushroom houses. Most mushrooms you buy in the store come from Pennsylvania, Southern Chester County actually, or maybe Florida. Now if you love mushrooms, and I actually do love them, you are welcome because if you've never been around a mushroom house it STINKS!!!  But eventually you get used to it... kinda.

Grapevines

Was driving by the house of one of my good friends from high school to see if her family still lived there and lo and behold there was a winery across the road. Now unfortunately or maybe fortunately (I'm sure my parents would think fortunately) this was not there when we were in high school. Of course I stopped in and had a taste.
