4x5

So I pulled out my 4x5 field camera today, can't even remember the last time I had it out. What prompted me? I have an intern this quarter and did you know that some schools don't have any classes on large format. Really? Now I really don't know what photography school is like because I'm pretty much self taught but I decided the intern should at least learn a few of the basics. So I set up the camera, pulled out some type 59, yes type 59 polaroid which expired in 2/2008 and pointed the camera in my backyard right outside of my little studio and explained what I considered to be the basics. Then I packed it back up and had the intern unpack, set up and go shoot their own polaroid. Lesson learned may have been for me. I miss looking at stuff I have shot on big film, so next week new project to start working on. I'm gonna shoot some new fun stuff for my book with my 4x5 and expired polaroid. Oh and then film too.
