So I got a call from an editor today. It went something like this... Hey, I finally got in touch with Francine Reed she's leaving town tomorrow can you shoot her today? Me... Francine Reed, hell yes what time and where. We shot her in her home here in Atlanta. I have seen her in concert and she is great. For those of you who don't know of Francine Reed go to your itunes or amazon or wherever you by your music and check her out. When you say someone is cool this lady comes to mind, when you say someone has soul this lady comes to mind. Lyle Lovett must think so also, she has sung backup for him for 20 years.
I know as photographers, and some more than others, we get the opportunity to shoot the so called famous people. I have to say although Francine may not be your typical big celebrity she is somewhat of a legend here in Atlanta and meeting her has been one on the highlights of my career for sure. She is way cool!
