Zeiss Ikon Love Rekindled POTD Thursday April 22, 2010

This is the one I have. Zeiss Ikon Ikonta B 524/16 (Mess-Ikonta). Uncoupled rangefinder, coated Zeiss-Opton Tessar 75/3.5 in Synchro-Compur shutter. Made in the early to mid 1950s by Zeiss Ikon, Stuttgart.

I must have a thing right now for cameras from the 50's

Hand Held 4x5 POTD Wednesday April, 21 2010

As promised here is an image hand holding the Crown Graphic shot with film. Yes my dog is my test model often and to think when I rescued her she was afraid of a camera. Hand held or not gotta love the 4x5 and a little film!

Hand Held 4x5 Photo of the day Monday April, 19 2010

Pulled out my Crown Graphic loaded up a sheet of type 59 polaroid and took a snapshot. As far as I can tell this particular camera was manufactured around 1951. Hand held the camera and focused with the range finder. Kinda difficult and kinda cool! Also shot a couple of sheets of film which I will post after they have been processed and I scan them.

SX-70 Polaroid Picture of the day Friday April, 16 2010

...so a couple of weeks ago I was going through some old boxes and lo and behold there was my SX-70 polaroid camera. The real treat though, one box of time zero film. No kidding imagine how happy I was. Immediately I loaded it up and stepped outside to shoot some snapshots. I'm in love all over again with the camera and have since ordered polaroid from the impossible project so I can continue to shoot with this camera. Above one of the shots, more to come... so exciting!
